1,521 Flats Sold Under HDB’s Open Booking Scheme
A total amount of 1.521K public housing have already been sold within the open choosing program from its release in June’19, reported MND KH Tan at Parliament on 2Mar.
Tan was responding to MP Gan Thiam Poh who inquired about the number of HDB public housing transacted under the available choosing system since its commence.
The open choosing program supports house hunters “to apply for a public home over the internet, furthermore receive their public home picking visit on a first-come-first-served schedule, that can be as quick as the next working day”.
Tan claimed a total amount of 46 2 room Flexi flats, Two hundred Seventy-three 3 room public housing\, 601 four room public housing, Five hundred and Ninety-seven 5 room/ Three Gen public housing, and also 4 Exec public housing have already been booked since 22February from the release choosing program.
Gan in addition inquired whether HDB would think of including an additional stock of public housing more consistently and rise the amount of flats in the market in the system.
Regarding this, Tan reveal that Housing and Development Board, today, “suspends available booking two times a year in order to inject a fresh amount of flats. The majority of flats provided within the open scheduling emerged from the supply of flats in which stick around left out after the 2 times yearly SBF exercises”.
He add on that HDB has been exploring solutions to extend more flats using available reservation.
